Elevation and Lie Percentage Affect on Distance – PGA TOUR 2K21 Gameplay Tutorial
In today’s tutorial video, I will teach virtual golfers how to properly adjust to elevation changes and different lie percentages. I will provide calculations and numbers to help players, and will provide instruction on live shots.
Here are example calculations:
-
- Elevation: divide how many feet uphill or downhill by 3. For uphill distances, the number will tell you how many yards will be taken off from your shot. For Downhill distances, the number will tell you how many yards will be added to your shot.
-
- Lie Percentages: choose the percentage in the middle of the two numbers shown and use this in your calculations for distance.
Hope this gameplay tutorial video will help you understand how to compensate for elevation changes and lie percentages.
Here are a few helpful documents. The first one will help you have a quick reference for lie percentage affect without having to use a calculator.
The second document will help you have a reference sheet for percentage shots. Keep in mind the club percentages in game are not exact percentages. You will notice this when you look at this excel spreadsheet. This will help you when your playing without the power bar to know what percent of the swing needs to be completed with each shot.
