Exploding Popularity of Fall Guys – Watchability Overview

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout was released on August 4, 2020 for PC and PS4, and the game’s popularity skyrocketed immediately.  In the first 14 days following the release, Fall Guys is the second ranked game on twitch in average views behind League of Legends.  Fall Guys has amassed a high peak viewer count of 515,083 and a total watch time of 56,639,252 in the past 14 days.  These numbers would be incredible for any game, but are even more impressive with Fall Guys being produced by Mediatonic, an independent game developer.  The developers have created a unique and highly enjoyable game on many levels. I have not personally been able to play this game due to it not being released on Xbox One.  However, I cannot get enough of Fall Guys videos and Live Streams.  This is the most enjoyable game I have watched since the beginning days of Fortnite Battle Royale.   The game’s unique animations, sounds, characters, level design, and physics make for many hilarious and memorable moments.   For these reasons, many content creators have jumped at the opportunity to create content for this game.  I have watched many different streamers and YouTubers playing Fall Guys, and have probably tallied over 40 hours or more of watch time.  Even after watching the game so much, I am not getting bored of it.  Rather, I want to watch it more and more. Some of my favorite content creators have started playing this game on twitch, a few of these include Dakotaz, Loserfruit, DrLupo, TimTheTatman, GubbaTV, and ItsSky.  I have enjoyed every second of watching this game, and have shared many laughs with these communities and with other content creators as well.
