This release will offer 12 different car classes at launch, and a wide selection of cars in each class will be available. A brand-new big feature being added to the series this year is the ability to create arenas in the new Playground mode. I am looking forward to seeing all the amazing arenas the community creates.

Valhalla looks truly breathtaking and this game looks like it could be the best Assassins Creed game of all time. In the next game in the Yakuza series, gamers will step into the shoes of Ichiban Kasuga after serving an 18-year sentence for a crime he did not commit. After serving his sentence, he steps into an unfamiliar world where his clan was destroyed and he seeks out to learn the truth about his family’s betrayal. This game offers a more traditional Japanese RPG approach to combat compared to the other games in the Yakuza Series. Instead of the typical real-time beat-em-up hand-to-hand combat mechanics of the Yakuza series, in Like A Dragon, the combat system will be turn-based. I am looking forward to checking this game out in the future.

The Ratchet and Clank series needs no introduction. This game alone is enough to buy the new PS5 when it launches, which will be the only way gamers will be able to experience this brand-new game in the Ratchet and Clank series. This title is a PS5 launch exclusive game. In Rift Apart, gamers will work to blast their way through an open world interdimensional action adventure. Gamers will be able to transport from one dimension to another, as they take control of Ratchet and Clank to take down an evil emperor from another reality. The gameplay shown during the PlayStation Showcase live stream got me so hyped for this game. From the stunning visuals, outrageous weaponry, interdimensional traveling, and combat, this game seems to have everything to provide an epic gaming experience. The specific release date for this title has yet to be announced. I know many PlayStation gamers are hoping for a launch when the PS5 launches on November 12, 2020.

Treyarch’s new game in the Call of Duty: Black Ops series is less than a month away. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set to release on November 13, 2020, and the popular Zombies mode returns. Cold War will also offer a full-fledged action-packed campaign based in the 1960s and 1980s, and will include many notable historical figures from that time period. The game also will offer the signature fast paced Call of Duty multiplayer modes. Cold War will support and build on the hit, free-to-play title Call of Duty: Warzone, however at this time it is unclear how this will be implemented. After watching gameplay footage and live streams throughout the open beta, this game seems to be a much-needed return to the classic Call of Duty experience. So many great games here! I am really excited about Hyrule Warriors. If it is like Dynasty Warriors (which is my understanding and a series I love), I really like that classic button masher! I’m sure Nintendo will add many more features to make it less of a button masher as Dynasty Warriors though. Also, a question about Like a Dragon – when you say the game is turned based, do you mean like classic RPG style such as Pokeman?
Ryan
I am so excited for Hyrule Warriors as well!
Yes, Like A Dragon will be turn based similar to Pokémon and Final Fantasy and other games like this. It was an interesting change from the fast paced button mashing beat-em-up style combat from the other games in the series. I am interested in seeing how it works in the game. The gameplay footage I have seen so far looks great!
